GIGABYTE has spent a lot of time and effort designing their motherboard hardware and BIOS to work together to make it easy as possible for users to overclock their system. Even with simply raising the FSB and tweaking the memory, most GIGABYTE motherboard users can achieve successful overclocks.
GIGABYTE's BIOS engineers do a lot of testing and tuning for performance, compatibility and overclocking by optimizing each overclocking setting for multiple different CPUs and optimization for hundreds of different memory types. In the Gigabyte Lab, engineers simulate every kind of overclocking situation, from normal cooling to subzero systems. They also test each FSB setting to see which settings provide the best system stability. The BIOS engineers then write these optimized settings into the Auto feature in BIOS. Users are able to take advantage of their testing by selecting the Auto function. These optimized Auto settings help users to have a successful overclock without having to do the actual testing for themselves.
