The more advanced manufacturing process and the higher core count on the new
generation of
CPUs, requires motherboards to utilize a more sophisticated VRM design to

OC Trigger Switch
This switch can be used to lower the CPU frequency to cool down the CPU temperature before running a benchmark without having to change any software settings. Instantly setting the TGR switch back to its default position when the benchmark begins will revert the CPU frequency to the original value.

The OC Ignition button allows overclockers and DIY users to pre-test water cooling setups when building up their computers without needing to boot the system. It also allows the system fans to keep spinning at a low temperature and allows for a firmware update even without a CPU installed.
