November 18, 2024 – Giga Computing, a subsidiary of GIGABYTE and an industry leader in generative AI servers and advanced cooling technologies, shows off at SC24 how the GIGABYTE enterprise portfolio provides solutions for all applications, from cloud computing to AI to enterprise IT, including energy-efficient liquid-cooling technologies. This portfolio is made more complete by long-term collaborations with leading technology companies and emerging industry leaders, which will be showcased at GIGABYTE booth #3123 at SC24 (Nov. 19-21) in Atlanta. The booth is sectioned to put the spotlight on strategic technology collaborations, as well as direct liquid cooling partners.
GIGABYTE Solutions with NVIDIA Platforms
The GIGABYTE booth will showcase an array of NVIDIA platforms built to keep up with the diversity of workloads and degrees of demands in applications of AI & HPC hardware. For a rack-scale AI solution using the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 design, GIGABYTE displays how seventy-two GPUs can be in one rack with eighteen GIGABYTE servers each housing two NVIDIA Grace CPUs and four NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. Another platform at the GIGABYTE booth is the NVIDIA HGX™ H200 platform. GIGABYTE exhibits both its liquid-cooling G4L3-SD1 server and an air-cooled version, G593-SD1. To connect these powerful systems, the NVIDIA Spectrum-4 SN5600 switch is employed, which has up to 64 ports of 800GbE. Last, there are servers dedicated to the NVIDIA MGX™ architecture, and an upcoming GIGABYTE server will support the NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell NVL4 Superchip. And with the modularized architecture is the ability to have Axiado’s hardware security solution that integrates BMC, RoT, and TPM on one module. For even broader applications, the architecture also supports the NVIDIA H200 NVL, which unleashes AI acceleration for mainstream enterprise servers with up to 1.8X more performance on HPC applications over the H100 NVL. Also, Chenbro has engineered these NVIDIA MGX-based server chassis.
GIGABYTE Solutions for Intel Platforms
One of the new technologies that GIGABYTE is proud to showcase is its G893-SG1 that is in a newly designed building block 8U chassis. This G893 series server supports dual Intel® Xeon® processors and Intel® Gaudi® 3 AI accelerators. This server uses air to remove heat from hot sources and has a wealth of expansion slots. Another interesting server at the booth is the R284-A91, which has drive bays that support E3.S drives, but what stands out is that it also has support for sixteen Micron CZ122 memory expansion modules with CXL™. The above-mentioned GPU and general-purpose servers are complemented by the high-density H374-A80 in support of eight Intel® Xeon® 6 processors in a 4-node 3U chassis.
GIGABYTE Solutions for AMD Platforms
With the recent announcement of AMD EPYC™ 9005 Series processors and AMD Instinct™ MI325X accelerator, GIGABYTE shows the G893-ZX1 for both new technologies. This air-cooling G893 series solution will be more important as future generations of GPU technologies continue to push the goal line in performance and efficiency. Alongside this GPU server are two general-purpose servers. The R283-ZK0 is the first server to have 48 memory DIMMs on a single node, while the R283-Z98 is another dual AMD EPYC™ 9005/9004-based server that supports Micron CZ122.
GIGABYTE Solutions for Ampere Computing
For cloud-native workloads, Ampere has created the AmpereOne® family processors. At the GIGABYTE booth there is a single socket server, GIGABYTE R163-P32, and a dual-socket server, R283-P93. These servers support AmpereOne® processors with up to 192 cores per socket operating at consistent and predictable frequencies.
GIGABYTE Solutions for Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC)
As data centers increasingly adopt liquid cooling to maximize energy efficiency, GIGABYTE has developed a comprehensive DLC ecosystem through partnerships with CoolIT Systems, Motivair, and nVent. These collaborations ensure compatibility with a broad range of market-leading DLC components, supported by factory-level validation, helping customers adopt liquid-cooling technology with confidence. The GIGABYTE G4L3-SD1 server, equipped with CoolIT cold plates, efficiently cools both Intel® Xeon® CPUs and eight NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs. Additionally, the nVent rack built to support liquid cooling features high-density configurations with two 2U servers: the H263-S62 supporting eight Intel® Xeon® processors and the H273-Z80 supporting eight AMD EPYC™ 9005 CPUs, both utilizing Motivair cold plates for effective heat dissipation. As well, this nVent rack is fitted with Motivair CDU and manifold. These solutions underscore GIGABYTE’s commitment to versatile, energy-efficient cooling for diverse data center needs.
