What is ErP?

ErP refers to energy using products. Compliancy to ErP must conform to many standards that already apply to the composition in terms of the materials used, packaging composition, design longevity, recyclability, power consumption and energy used during this whole process.

Declarations and Certifications

Following certain design controls and supply chain declarations, the EU RoHS Directive, alongside the (EC) 1275/2008 for power modes must make their mark at certain label points.

  • All restricted substance stipulated by the EU RoHS Directive must comply in unit composition, and all ozone depleting substances are refrained from use in packaging stage, alongside an environment aware design that ensure a certain lifetime of use with supported servicing.
  • Recyclability follows certain guidelines with restrictive use of certain substances, and compliancy with EU WEEE, and end of life programs need to make sure nothing goes to waste, keeping landfills cleaner, and conserve natural resources.

Where is ErP applicable?

ErP is applicable to energy using products that are distributed and used in the markets that form part of the European Union.

GIGABYTE’s corporate commitment and responsibility to the planet also incorporates compliancy to ErP.
