What does "Windows Vista Ready" mean when there is such logo or description
found on website information or color box and other marketing materials for motherboards?
"Windows Vista Ready" means the motherboard hardware meets preliminary Windows Vista requirements: Direct X9 graphics controller and High Definition audio. However motherboards with these 2 requirements are not guaranteed to pass Windows Vista Logo program, nor meets Vista Premium version specification. Drivers for Windows Vista are not available from vendors now, but will be available when Windows Vista is officially launched.
