If you cannot find any available disk drive when installing the Windows operating system, that may be caused by the missing driver of the storage controller.
To solve this situation, you can get the driver from the product's download page. It can be found in the "SATA RAID/AHCI" category.
Please refer to the instructions below to apply the driver:
1. Extract the driver package to the Windows installation disk (ESD-USB as default).
Change the folder name to something more practical, like "VMD," as it is called in this guide.
2. Please insert the prepared Windows installation disk into your laptop.
3. Power on your laptop and press F12 when the GIGABYTE\AORUS\AERO Logo appears to launch the boot menu.
4. Select the Windows installation disk in the Boot menu.
5. If there is no available disk device listed in the disk device selection screen, please click “Load Driver”.
6. Click “Browse”.
7. Go to the Windows installation disk (ESD-USB) and choose the storage drive folder created in step#1. Then click "OK".
8. Select a driver from the list and install it.
Note: If the selected driver is incorrect, please repeat steps 5 to 7 to select the next one until the available disk shows.
Select the disk on which you want to install the Windows operating system to finish the installation process.
